My name is Defurose Ayebazibwe, aged 44 and a Ugandan. I came from Kabale district, Southern Uganda. Currently, residing in Kawempe division in Kampala district. I have lived my entire life, I lost my parents when I was still young and was brought up by my church in my region. Unfortunately, I did not get enough education as I expected due to no assistance and finances from my church. I also later was impregnated, dropped out of school and give birth to my son, I decided to take my son to an orphanage and was taken care of. Ever since then I have been working as a house maid till now earning low income to sustain my living. I had a fracture on left knee one year ago and still feel pain up to date.

I have high blood pressure and asthma. It is so unfortunate that there has been a Corona Virus pandemic outbreak that has been affected the world wide and my country whereby the president of this country on 20th March 2020 ordered on immediate closure and lockdown of the whole country, public transport, businesses, all put at standstill and my boss told me to go at my place of residence of which I am stack without any help in forms of food and have no caretaker since I am ill health wise.

We have been advised to wear masks and gloves, however we don’t have these items and we are unable to purchase them because of lack of money. Any help finding these items is greatly appreciated.
